Welcome to John's Workshop
HI! JOHN Here with an November Update
November Update
November started off colder than normal for most. Let's hope the rest of the winter doesn't bring more of the same!
That's all for the moment. Stay warm and stay safe!
Best Regards,
John
November started off colder than normal for most. Let's hope the rest of the winter doesn't bring more of the same!
- Bonanza Update - The sync with our eBay account is now working in regards to multiple variation listings. Now when purchasing items that have multiple variations, such as Bulk or Build Your Own sanding sheet listings that come in seventeen different grits, one will have all the variations to choose from rather than two. There have been two major issues Bonanza support has addressed in the last two months and their teams have really stepped up their game in this area. Before this we were either given workarounds that didn't work or basically told they weren't going to spend the time or money to address the issues we were having. A good sign for the future with this platform.
- Bonanza on the flip side. We have yet to test vacation mode and we are putting this off as long as possible in case it is still broken.
- Bonanza on the flip side part two. Combined shipping is still additive when it comes to shipping costs rather than calculated as with other ecommerce platforms such as eBay. Bonanza is revamping their shipping and moving most sellers into using their labeling system with the guarantee that their shipping labels will be less expensive than any other method of purchasing them. Forcing sellers to use their shipping labels goes into effect this month and it will be interesting to see if their claim turns out to be true. If nothing else we have our fingers crossed that maybe it will result in a shipping calculator that will combine shipping rather than merely adding the shipping cost for multiple items together, which results in higher than necessary shipping fees.
- Now for the latest on the passing of my grandmother. The fallout of the mess she left us will be with my family for years as we sort everything out. This is where focusing on one piece of the elephant at a time is going to be necessary to minimize the stress and lingering exhaustion.
- The new website is still delayed and we missed our end of October deadline. With some badly needed good luck we may be able to get it launched by the end of the November. Fingers crossed! Once launched buyers will have another ecommerce site to complete their purchases of our one-of-a-kind items and be able to take advantage of some nice discounts as well.
- On a positive note, customers that are awaiting sanding plates with foam, hook & loop (Velcro) and felt pads for the Milwaukee 2549-20 cordless sander should see them become available later this month. We are continuing to develop our sander plate and pad offerings and one can expect ones for more sanders to become available at least once a month for the foreseeable future.
- We are still working hard on getting our premier product release for 2023 completed and we hope to have the first products available in December. We are always working hard behind the scenes to develop new product lines and are looking forward to launching this new one-of-a-kind product line before the end of the year. This one has been over two years in the making and we think you are going to like the products.
- Other than these updates, we are not going to spend a huge amount of time on this particular site as it will be retired when the new one is launched.
That's all for the moment. Stay warm and stay safe!
Best Regards,
John

Putting our Mission Statement into Practice
"Creating Solutions for Everyday Needs"
The idea behind our first product is that too many cans of expanding foam are thrown away before they are empty.
This results in our landfill space being used up unnecessarily and consumers needlessly spending additional
money as they have to go and purchase more cans.
Our solution is to provide replacement straws that allow cans of of expanding foam to be completely used.
In addition, we also provide cleaning kits that allow straws to be cleaned and used more than once.
The result is that consumers now have the ability to get the full use out of their cans of expanding foam,
saving them money and helping our environment by reducing the amount of trash entering our landfills.
